Meaning of Organisation Organization is the management of men, work and materials in an office to achieve goals and objectives of the organization scarce resources. Types of Organisation The two types of organization are: (i) Formal organization: This is a legal institution whose activities are coordinated and interrelated in order to set goals and objectives. Examples of formal organization are schools, banks, hospitals. Etc. (ii) Informal organization: This is an institution whose activities are developed around social or project group. This department sources for capital and controls the financial resources of the organization. (ii) Administration department: This department coordinates and serves as a link for the other departments in the organization. It is at the centre of the organization because this is where managerial functions are carried out in the organization. (iii) Personnel department: This department manages people at work .It is in charge of selection and recruitment of staff into the organization. It also punishes or sanction, appreciate or promote staff in the organization.
